For Golfers who show Exemplary Performance on the Course
Julius Boros Trophy
Donated to the JGA of Broward by the late golfing great, Julius Boros, this trophy is awarded to the Boys Championship Division player with the lowest stroke average for the year. To be eligible for this award, a player must play at least five (5) 18-hole rounds (or half of the total tournaments for the year if the division plays less than 10 complete rounds) from the Blue Tees during the current year. If the golfer plays more than five (5) rounds, the average of the five (5) lowest rounds is used.
Carol Mann Award
Donated to the JGA of Broward by LPGA professional Carol Mann, this trophy is awarded to the Girls Championship Division player with the lowest stroke average for the year. To be eligible for this award, a player must play in at least five (5) 18-hole rounds (or half of the total tournaments for the year if the division plays less than 10 complete rounds) from the Red Tees during the current year. If the golfer plays more than five (5) rounds, the average of the lowest five (5) rounds is used.
Ron Kesterson Award
Named for a former JGA member, this trophy is presented to the boy whose golfing ability and dedication has improved the most during the current year. Consideration is given for the number of flights a player moves, the scores at the beginning of the year compared to the scores at the end of the year, and the tees from which the scores were made.
Founders Award
Presented to the girl whose golfing ability and dedication has improved the most during the current year. Consideration is given for the number of flights a player moves, the scores at the beginning of the year compared to the scores at the end of the year, and the tees from which the scores were made.
Presidents Award
Awarded by the JGA President to the boy or girl who exhibits the spirit of the JGA.
Fran Pou Award
Presented to a boy or girl who has demonstrated an eagerness to assist the parent volunteers and the Board of Directors in a manner which sets him or her apart from the rest of the participants over the course of the tournaments.
