Awarded to the boy or girl of any age who is considered to be the outstanding young person in the JGA program. A list of candidates is complied with recommendations for character, attitude, leadership on and off the course. Each nominee’s name is brought before the Board of Directors with the reasons why he or she is being nominated. The Board will cast a vote by ballot, with the candidate receiving the most votes as the winner. The trophy is retained by the recipient for one year, at which time a plaque is awarded as the permanent trophy for the winner.

Junior golfers desiring to be a candidate for a scholarship must be a graduating senior from high school in the current year and submit his or her high school transcript and scholarship request to the JGA scholarship chairperson. The number and amount of the scholarships are determined by the Board of Directors. To be eligible for a scholarship the individual must be an active member of the Junior Golf Association of Broward County.
